How To Beat These Billionaire Hedge Fund Managers

If beating the billionaire hedge fund mangers seems like a dream to you, then I am about to give you a reality check. Before I go there, let me share with you some of the results of these billionaire hedge fund managers this year. I'm only going to give you the top three, as they have achieved outstanding results.

Let's start off with the number one hedge fund manager of the year. I'm sure you're familiar with this name, as it seems to be in the news every week. I'm talking about Carl Icahn. Icahn has produced an incredible return of 48.96% year-to-date. That truly is an amazing return, but he's not alone. Next up is David Einhorn with a return of 41.37% YTD. Bringing up the rear with a very impressive 27.95% return YTD is Bill Ackman.

I think we can all agree that these three brilliant billionaire fund managers have all produced outstanding returns so far this year. I congratulate all three hedge fund managers. It's even more remarkable when you consider that the stock market hasn't had much sustained movement to the upside this year. In fact, just recently most of the major indices were flat to lower on the year.

This leads me to the main lesson at hand... with the right tools you can surpass the returns of these hedge fund all-stars. Continue reading "How To Beat These Billionaire Hedge Fund Managers"

Steady Profits in Uncertain Times

Steady profits in uncertain times, that's the dream of every investor. The question is, how do you achieve that goal?

Let's face it, there are a lot of distractions in this crazy world that we are living in. Those distractions, whether we like it or not, do play on our emotions and in turn, affect our decisions.

The same is true for making trading decisions. We are distracted many times by external events. These events, for reasons perhaps unknown to ourselves, lead us to make decisions that we ordinarily would not make.

Emotions are the #1 element to control when you are trading and certainly more money has been lost trading on emotion than has been made.

So what's an investor to do? Continue reading "Steady Profits in Uncertain Times"

Isn’t It Time You Took A Look At These Two Portfolios?

How would you like to know exactly what to do the next day with any given market and the price you want to do business at? What if the odds are amazingly in your favor when you trade and approach the market this way?

Sounds like a no-brainer.

The trading approach I'm about to share with you is one that has proven to be successful in both bull and bear markets.

If this sounds like some "pie-in-the-sky," too good to be true idea - it isn't. I have been involved with the markets for many years and this is the one approach that I have seen consistently make money. In fact, it is the genesis of my success in the markets.

This trading approach produced gains of 65.3% and 77.1% last year. Was that a fluke or just sheer good luck? How much does luck count in the market? Very little in my opinion, what really counts is having an approach that is well thought out and has proven to be successful. Once again, luck has nothing to do with that. The only lucky thing is perhaps you're reading this post and beginning to understand that there is a way to make money in any kind of market.

This well planned out approach has produced gains in one of our strategies as high as 501%, with the lowest gain being 35.3% in 2010, it has never had a losing year.

Here are the results from that approach: Continue reading "Isn’t It Time You Took A Look At These Two Portfolios?"

Will This Magical Bean Produce Profits?

At the beginning of the second quarter, I put out a special report on gold and highlighted how the World Cup portfolio has had an 80% success record in that market during that time frame. I am happy to report that the second quarter of 2014 kept that winning streak alive with the recent move in gold and added to the profitability of the World Cup portfolio.

Well traders, as we rapidly approach the end of June and the beginning of the third quarter it is time to find out which market is going to be hot. Throughout the history of the World Cup portfolio (since 2007), the third quarter tends to be the killer quarter for soybeans.

In the past, using the strategy from the World Cup portfolio, soybeans has seen an 85% success rate in the third quarter. Now, that's not to say that this coming quarter is going to be 85% correct, but certainly the odds would favor that.

You can have access to the signals for the World Cup portfolio by joining MarketClub right here.

Here are the trading results for soybeans in the third quarter of every year since 2007, using the signals from the World Cup model portfolio strategy.

2007 $2,800.00
2008 $22,900.00
2009 $125.00
2010 $4,300.00
2011 $8,175.00
2012 $13,462.50
2013 -$650.00

As you can see from the numbers, 2008 was an outstanding year. Besides 2009 and 2013, most of the other years produced profits that were quite exceptional. As late as 2012, you would have produced a healthy return on your initial margin. Continue reading "Will This Magical Bean Produce Profits?"

Tech Stocks Put The Market Under Pressure

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and co-creator of MarketClub, with your video update for Monday, the 7th of April.

Last week we saw the tech stocks shave 4% off the value of the NASDAQ index in just 3 days and we are seeing further follow-through selling today. Technically the markets have been in strong bull trends for the last 5 years. Historically, very few bull markets have exceeded that length of time. This bull market may or may not be the exception.

There have been several Internet stocks that I have been talking about on this blog, mainly Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) which I have been bearish on, Twitter (NYSE:TWTR), Yelp (NYSE:YELP), and a host of others and they are all in bearish patterns.
