Sears and the Trade Triangles

Sears Holding Corp (NASDAQ_SHLD) announced today that it will be closing up to 120 stores in its Kmart and Sears chains to focus on the stronger stores. This news made the stock drop more than 19% today at the open. Of course MarketClub members were on the right side of this move down well in advance of the news by following the Trade Triangles. The Trade Triangles signaled an entry into a Short position on 12/14/11 @ 51.14. With a current price of 36.92 members are sitting on a profit of 14.22 per share (+27.80%).

It's more important to the market than Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Spain combined

The trials and tribulations of these four countries (that have run up huge deficits) have been well known for quite some time. What is more important in my opinion is not the size of the debt, which is staggering, but rather what is going on with market perception.

Market perception trumps everything else out there. Market perception trumps market fundamentals every time. Market perception is the one card that the government cannot control. It is the card that can potentially give the individual trader an edge.

Adam's Thoughts on Operation Twist, Hewlett-Packard and Netflix

Did you miss MarketClub TV last night? If you did you missed a great intro/rant by Adam. He covered the announcement by the Fed, news from Hewlett-Packard about their CEO, Netflix's announcement and of course the Trade Triangles for the day.

We've cut out the intro for you to watch here.

HP - Fire sale or long time coming?

Late last week Hewlett-Packard announced that it would no longer be making the very products that made them a household name since the explosion of home PCs. Then came the fire sale of their HP TouchPads for only $99.

I don't think anyone was surprised when HP stock prices took a nose dive, however, MarketClub members have been short this market since March.

The trend is your friend, and so are MarketClub's "Trade Triangles."

Every success,

SKF, the banks, Fibonacci trading, and why the markets crashed

Last night on MarketClub TV, Susan and I discussed what we and the “Triangles” saw in the markets in the days to come and well, it didn’t even take days. In a little more than 12 hours, the markets showed us that we were dead on.

SKF discussed in the above video recorded on Wednesday is up + 9.8% today!

Of course, even we know that we can’t be right all the time, but more often than not MarketClub has put us on the right side of many markets. Want to see for yourself? For the first time ever, we’re offering you a MarketClub membership at a price you’d be crazy to refuse. Click here to find out more.
