Grain Futures-- The grain market was mixed this week as soybean prices in the November contract settled right near session lows finishing down $.12 at 12.73 and as I’ve written about in many previous blogs I am very bearish the grain sector & I think prices are way over priced with solid weather here in the United States which should produce a record crop along with a very pessimistic commodity market as interest rates are starting to move to the upside very quickly pushing commodity prices sharply lower as well as the S&P 500 which was in a terrific bull market for some quite time but prices are headed lower in my opinion. Corn futures bucked the trend this week settling last Friday at 5.33 up about $.22 trading above their 20 and 100 day moving average right near 4 month highs, however I have been wrong on this trade but I remain extremely bearish corn prices and I think one of these days to come in corn could go limit down across the board as a 2 billion carryover is only 3 months away in my opinion. Wheat futures continued a 14 week consolidation down $.03 with absolutely no trend in sight and I’m waiting for a break out just like what happened in the live cattle contract to the upside as long consolidations in my opinion could be a terrific buy or sell because the trend is generally very powerful after at least a 12 week breakout. Today's Video Update: To Taper Or Not To Taper?

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Wednesday, the 19th of June.

To Taper Or Not To Taper? That's My Question For Ben Bernanke
That is the question on everyone's mind today as the Fed kicks off its meeting at 2 PM, eastern time. Everyone is probably also wondering if Ben Bernanke is going to run for another term. I doubt that Ben Bernanke will want to run for another term, because whoever inherits the current Bernanke mess, created by QE1, QE2 and QEInfinity, is going to have to unwind this trade and that is going to be one colossal mess for everyone. The modus operandi in the USA seems to be that we jump into everything from wars to QEs without figuring out an exit plan. What the market wants to see now, is how the Fed is going to extricate itself from its current bond buying gluttony. Now, that's going to lend itself to some real market opportunities in the future. In Precious Metals, Cash Flow Is King

The Gold Report: Many believe that the price of gold represents a market referendum on the value of paper money and the health of the world economy. Do you agree?

Jay Taylor: Yes, I do. Gold rose from the mid-$200s/ounce (mid-$200/oz) in 2002 to as high as $1,900/oz. That clearly suggests that things are not all right in the global economy. Politicians like to create the illusion that they can create something out of nothing and give it to people in exchange for votes. Gold gets in the way of that falsehood politicians wish to use to deceive voters for their own gain and the gain of those who fund their election campaigns.

TGR: Gold has fallen from $1,900/oz to below $1,400/oz. Some people say this proves the bubble has burst. Continue reading "In Precious Metals, Cash Flow Is King"

Today's Video Update: What Goes Up, Must Come Down...Right?

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Monday, the 17th of June.

Are High Gas Prices Going To Squash The Economic Recovery?
Last week, all of our Trade Triangles jumped into a positive position, indicating that crude oil prices are headed higher once again. Some of that can be attribute to the events in the Middle East, mainly in Syria. The move higher also has to do with the technical makeup of the market. This market has been moving sideways for a while and seems poised to want to break over the $100 barrel level in the not-too-distant future. This increase in gasoline prices would come at a terrible time for most Americans, as summer driving tends to drive up demand for gas. I will be covering crude oil in today's video.

What Goes Up, Must Come Down... Right?
The battle continues between the Bulls and the Bears as the markets continue to vacillate both on the upside and downside. Certainly, my call to be on the sidelines for intermediate-term traders has proven to be a wise one. I continue to think that the longer-term trend for the equity markets remains in a positive mode, but it's more of a sideways pattern that we are seeing in the major indices right now.
