News that Larry Summers was withdrawing his name for consideration as the next Fed chairman sent stocks soaring overnight in Asia and Europe. When the US markets opened, it followed through and helped push many stocks to new highs. Today I will be looking at the indices and certain stocks that I think are worthy of your consideration.

I will also be looking at Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) and Pandora Media (NASDAQ:P). Can they still grow and make money? Continue reading "Stocks Soar With Summers' Exit"

Apple Tanks and The NASDAQ Sinks

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Wednesday, the 11th of September.

There is no question about it, most analysts did not like Apple's press conference yesterday and viewed it as a very disappointing event.

But what really happened? Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) came out with some stellar upgrades such as moving to 64bit architecture and software updates in what I consider to be the best operating system on the planet for mobile. They also unveiled a fingerprint technology that reaches a whole new level of security and puts Apple way ahead of most companies. I think this type of technology could be a Trojan horse for Apple in the corporate world. It also opens up a whole new market for Apple where security is essential, for example, think of online banking transactions. It's An All Syrian Headache Of A Weekend

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Friday, the 6th of September.

Early this morning, I had a reporter call me in regards to the non-farm payrolls and my thoughts on what I expected. I must admit, non-farm payrolls was the furthest thing from my mind as I believe the market and the world is becoming consumed with Syria.

I think President Obama has unfortunately dug a big hole for himself and is not sure how to get out of it. Continue reading "It's An All Syrian Headache Of A Weekend"

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Friday, the 30th of August.

The U.K. Nixes Their Involvement In Syria, Should The U.S. Go It Alone?
When the vote was tallied last night in the British Parliament, the U.K. effectively dropped out of supplying any military support in Syria. This vote put the Obama administration in a very difficult spot, should the U.S. go it alone or backdown and lose face? Well, according to our poll, almost 77% of our readers voted that the U.S. should not get involved in Syria. So does the administration go against the will of the people? Only time will tell.

At the moment the world has backed Pres. Obama into a corner, if he doesn't do anything the U.S. is going to look weak and if he lob's in a few cruise missiles he is going to look pathetic at best. There is no win-win solution in either scenario. Continue reading "Today's Video Update: Syria, The End of Summer and What's Ahead"

Countdown To Syria
There's no doubt about it, yesterday's news that the US was going to have a military response to Syria spooked the markets and sent the indices to their biggest loss in some time. Today, the markets are digesting what they went through yesterday. Of course, there are winners and losers in any economy, and tools like MarketClub's Trade Triangles can help you know when to hold and when to fold. Yesterday, I shared with you a major sell signal in Walmart (NYSE:WMT), potentially because of higher oil prices that are on the way.
