Are These Stocks Right For You?

Yesterday, I mentioned that I thought the lows seen in most of the major indices would be interim lows and I expected to see a bounce from those lows.

Today, we are seeing that bounce and I have three stocks that I believe you should be looking at, and perhaps buying, if they meet your risk profile.

I will show you why you should be buying these stocks and the exact rules I'm following to buy them. You will be able to mimic these same rules using the tools available to you as a MarketClub member.

The three stocks I'm looking at are: Continue reading "Are These Stocks Right For You?"

7 Stocks That Are Set To Rip

Today I'm going to be looking at seven stocks that are very close to making a breakout and move to the upside.

As this is a shortened week with no trading on Monday, you will want to pay particular attention to how these stocks close this Friday. All of the stocks are well-known and are setting themselves up for continuation moves.

The seven stocks I will be looking at are: Continue reading "7 Stocks That Are Set To Rip"

Time To Check Out The Internet Portfolio

Hello MarketClub members and traders everywhere. I thought today I would take a look at the Internet portfolio to see exactly how it is positioned in the following Internet stocks. This particular portfolio has shown returns of 65% in 2013, the first year we began tracking this portfolio, to a return of 16.4% last year.

The portfolio consists of only five stocks and is very easy to follow. Now, I understand that there are a lot more popular Internet stocks out there which we don't track in this portfolio, but these are the five stocks I believe will have big moves. As long as the stock moves up or down, you should be making money with this portfolio.

Here are the five stocks that we follow: Continue reading "Time To Check Out The Internet Portfolio"

Time To Buy These 5 Buy Stocks?

Hello MarketClub members and traders everywhere! As you start a new week, it is important to look at what happened last week in the markets.

There's no doubt that last week was tough week for most traders with Apple sliding almost 4% which was enough to drag practically every other market down. But what interested me was the market action on Friday. Last Friday we saw a recovery in the market and when one looks at the RSI indicator, all the major indices closed over the 50 line. In fact, all of the Trade Triangles on both the indices and Apple remain positive in both the intermediate and long-term trends.

I would not be surprised to see the market chop around these areas for a while, but I would rather be a buyer here, than a seller.

Here are some of the stocks I think are worthy of your attention: Continue reading "Time To Buy These 5 Buy Stocks?"

Shocking News From Amazon And Google

After the bell yesterday, Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced, to the surprise of many, that they made a profit. That, of course, is good news if you were long their stock. The Trade Triangle technology got this one wrong, but also got it right as well, let me explain.

Prior to Amazon's earnings announcement, the Trade Triangles were on the sidelines having received a signal to cover any short positions on January 23rd at $314.75. While the Trade Triangles missed the big 10% up-move in after-hours trading yesterday, it certainly did not cause any harm either. Not getting caught wrong-footed in the market is an important element to successful investing. Or to use Warren Buffett's number one investment rule: #1. Do not lose money. His second investment rule is: #2 Do not forget rule number one.

Jeff Bezos, the chief honcho at Amazon and its driving force, decided to hold back on some some of his expansion spending and give investors something to smile about while placating the street, which was beginning to think that Amazon would never make money.
