Short term pops...how do we play them?

We're often asked at MarketClub just how to play short-term pops. Regardless if you are looking at stocks, futures, or the forex market, it's always the same for us in the office and thousands of MarketClub members... MarketClub Alerts.

Today I have a brand new video that looks deeper into the MarketClub Alerts and a couple of Swine Flu moves that MarketClub members really nailed! I also look into the Pork Bellies recent action, and a non-Swine Flu stock that recently made a nice move that the Alerts kept me on the right side of!

You see, no matter what happens, what methods you use, or what markets you trade, the following is always true: If you're the first to know, you're the first to profit!

This applies to our trading strategy, MarketClub Alerts, and the steps we need to take to capture profits and stay on the winning side of those short-term moves.

Please enjoy the video on two Swine Flu plays, a non-Swine Flu pop, and the Pork Bellies! As always its with our compliments.

All comments are welcome and you will need the latest Flash Player to enjoy the video.

  1. Hi.

I get the same problem as Douglas ... even after installing the latest verion of Flash.

    Steve.

    1. Steve,

Please retry clicking on the video now. There was a new version of the video swapped out at 12am this morning. If you can't see the video, please shoot me a message and I will send you a link to an AVI.

  2. So, did you send out an alert for these specific stocks? Or does your system generate lots of signals and you are cherry picking these big movers from dozens of stocks.

    1. Steve,

That's a good question. I believe that Brad referred to two things in the video:

      1) News Alerts
      2) Alerts

The news headlines will pop up onto your homepage based around hot information as disclosed by the Associate Press, Real-Time Trader News, our in-house commentary and other public reports. You can customize these headlines to pull up stories that fit your portfolio holdings. You can specify sectors, particular stock (i.e. pharmaceutical stocks) and futures symbols (i.e. pork bellies), geographic locations, etc. The headlines regarding the bio stocks and swine flu epidemic were pumped through our newsfeeds and therefore were pushed across our member's homepage. http://club.ino.com/trading/marketclub-help-section/news-scan/

The Alerts are based around your own settings. A symbol must be in your portfolio and you must attached an alert to receive the email alerting of price changes, price percentage changes, breakouts, new "Trade Triangles," etc. Brad happened to have the pharmaceutical stocks in his portfolio had had set up his Alerts before he received the notice. http://club.ino.com/trading/marketclub-help-section/alerts/

I hope this answers you questions and better explains how our Alerts and News Scan works.

Give our support team a call if you have any further questions.
