5 Energy markets that will help you thrive in 2011

In today's short video I'm going to show you some of the markets that I'm looking at in the energy complex. We're going to be looking at coal, oil, solar and some other large energy companies and ETF's.

As this is a short video, be sure to check in and watch our webinar this Thursday, January 20th at 4pm EST/9pm GMT. You will need to reserve a spot as tour webinars typically reach capacity quickly. Register here for this weeks webinar:

As always all webinars are free to attend.

Take a look at what we will be covering in the webinar and check out our new portfolio manager which we will be using extensively throughout today's video. We also have a big surprise which will be announced at the webinar and I have no doubt that you will like.

Today's video requires no registration and is free to watch.

I look forward to sharing ideas with you at our webinar this Thursday.

  1. Coul market club create a portfolio tracker for energy like you have done? I find this a valuable feature of being a memeber! Thanks Tim

    1. Tim,

      Thanks for the feedback.

It is on the drawing board.
We also have a new forex portfolio coming up soon.

      All the best,

      Adam

  2. Thanks Adam for the great webinar! I noticed you were showing volume during the webinar on your charts. How do you incorporate volume into the trading decision. Thanks so much, Cynthia

    1. Cynthia,

Thank you for your feedback. Not every market has volume, so I don't pay as much attention as perhaps some other traders do. For example the spot Forex markets do not have volume as that is a Composite feed from many different banks around the world.

      All the best,
      Adam

    1. Dale,

As the March contract for the S&P 500 really tracks the actual S&P 500 index. I would rather look at that index than the futures market.

According to my charting skills on candlestick charts the S&P 500 index did not create a negative engulfing line.

      Hope this answers your question.

      All the best,
      Adam

  3. I have a pryer comitment Thursday afternoon.

Will the webinar be available at a later time?

  4. I see Adam has the MarketClub portfolios conveniently located in the right side of the portfolio tool, when I go to my portfolio, all I see is my portfolio. How do I add that Energy portfolio to my view? Is that something I would do manually, or is there a link to what Adam has on screen?

    Thanks!

  5. Great video... One market I'm following closely this year is the TSX Venture Exchange. There are several stocks there that also trade on US markets, so no investor needs to feel left out of the opportunities. However, with increasing volume and the number of take overs in the energy, metals, etc. sectors, this exchange is poised to continue to do well, setting new record highs.

Best to all with your trading!
